What “calibrated preview” means here

Every preview on this site — and in GR Studio and the Companion app — is rendered by one engine, built against measurements of real GR cameras. When we say a preview is faithful, that's a number, not a feeling. The numbers are below.

CameraFirmwareBundleMeasured basisStatus
GR41.100.1.0-syntheticcalibration in progress — basis published before launchCalibration in progress
GR31.000.1.0-syntheticcalibration in progress — basis published before launchCalibration in progress

In short: we photograph controlled scenes on real bodies, compare the camera's own JPEG output to our engine's render, and publish the difference. The full method lives in the calibration programme docs.

One frame, one recipe: the camera's role and the engine's render, side by side.
