Send a recipe to your camera

GR Studio Companion

Deploying a recipe means getting its parameters set on your actual camera. Today that always happens through a guided, on-camera walkthrough — direct automatic writes to the camera aren't verified yet for any body or firmware, so the app is honest about that rather than pretending otherwise.

Steps

  1. 1

Open the Deploy tray from the Library tab — it lists everything waiting to go to your camera (from GR Studio, a scanned QR code, or account sync).

  2. 2

Choose Deploy on the recipe you want.

  3. 3

Follow the guided steps shown, one camera-menu change at a time, in the order the app lists them.

  4. 4

Check off each step as you make it on the camera's own menu.

  5. 5

Once every step is checked, choose "I've made these changes on the camera."

If that didn't work

Checking off every step tells the app you're done — it doesn't verify the camera actually received the change, since there's no automatic confirmation for the guided path yet. If a parameter isn't available on your camera, the app tells you before you start, not partway through. See Entering a recipe on GR III (guided entry) for a closer look at this screen.

Still stuck? We don't have a support address to give you yet. Use the Report control on any recipe or profile page to reach us— include the diagnostics file if the app offered one (here's how to find it →). A human reads every message.
